WISE 2nd General Assembly (GA)

30^th and 31^st January 2025, Sion, Switzerland, CH

The WISE project successfully held its Second General Assembly (GA) in the picturesque and historically rich city of Sion, Switzerland. Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Sion is renowned for its stunning mountain landscapes, centuries-old castles, and rich cultural heritage, making it an inspiring location for this crucial project meeting.

The 2nd GA provided an excellent platform for project partners to engage in in-depth discussions, share key advancements, and align on strategic directions. The event focused particularly on Work Packages 2, 3, 4, and 10, marking the successful conclusion of WP2, a significant milestone in the project’s journey. Partners presented and evaluated the groundbreaking progress made in these technical areas, reaffirming their commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainable manufacturing.

Beyond technical discussions, the consortium had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research facilities during a guided tour of the Hydro Alps Lab, the Powder Technology Lab, and the impressive Power Plant at Le Châtelard. These visits provided invaluable insights into innovative energy systems, advanced powder processing techniques, and sustainable hydropower solutions, aligning perfectly with WISE’s mission.

A highlight of the GA was the filming of a dedicated video to showcase the WISE project’s vision and objectives as part of the communication work package. This initiative will help spread awareness of the project’s impact and reinforce its role in shaping the future of eco-friendly industrial innovation.

The Second General Assembly in Sion not only marked a major step forward in the WISE project but also strengthened the collaboration between partners, setting the stage for the next ambitious phases of development.
